FHKPUAA Alumni Talk: Getting to Know – SEEING EYE DOGS in HK

On 23 August 2025, the Community Services Sub-committee of the Federation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Alumni Associations (FHKPUAA) hosted an alumni talk titled “Getting to Know – SEEING EYE DOGS in HK”. Held on campus, the event featured representatives from the Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services and their guide dog. Nearly 70 PolyU alumni, along with their friends and family members, attended to learn about the organisation’s mission and the training of guide dogs. The talk provided considerable insights into the roles of guide dogs and offered practical tips for interacting with visually impaired individuals. Attendees left inspired by the meaningful impact of these social services and the unique partnerships between guide dogs and the people they assist.
